(this is a typical Dutch treat and not to be missed!)
Simply bake them yourself with this recipe 🙂
Ingredients:
- 300g self-raising flour
- 180g unsalted butter
- 150g brown caster sugar
- 60ml lukewarm water
- 15g biscuit spices (speculaaskruiden)
- 15g Best Way Fullcream Milk Powder
- pinch of salt

Method
- Preheat oven to 175 degrees C° (fan oven).
- Put the self-raising flour, brown sugar, biscuit spices and butter in a bowl with a pinch of salt and mix well.
- Dissolve the whole milk powder in the lukewarm water and add to the dough.
- Knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Take a piece of dough and roll it into a ball the size of a marble and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Press the ball a little flat.
- Repeat until the dough is finished. (You fill about 2 baking trays with this amount of dough.)
- Bake the spicey biscuits for about 25 minutes.
- Remove the baking tray from the oven and leave the spicey biscuits until cool.
